Out of Curiosity (Adults Only Please)

November 12, 2009 // Posted in Off The Wall  |  5 Comments

This is not a criticism!  I want to make sure that’s perfectly clear.

So I’m cleaning out my hard drive, and archive my docs and pictures and stuff.  This always takes forever, because once I get to the pictures, I have to look at all of them to double-check that I actually want to keep them or dump them.  I have a lot of pictures…but you all know that already.  What can I say?  I just love women!

Anyways, going through my pictures, I’ve ran across a few of women getting tittie-fucked.  So of course, my mind starts thinking of things.  Well, it didn’t take me long to ask myself a question that actually took away any pleasure that I may have had at viewing those photos.  Needless to say, I deleted them.  But the question still remains:

(This is a question for my lady readers out there)

Is there any physical pleasure that you get from being tittie-fucked?  Basically, what do you get out of the deal?  I ask the question purely out of curiosity, with no malicious intent.

Lets face it…guys get pleasure out of anything that touches their dick, so there’s no question as to why we like it.  But for the girl, I can’t imagine where the pleasure is for you.  I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t have an undying need to understand how things (and people) work…the purposes behind things.  And damn it, if the question won’t leave my mind.

I do tend to over think things, and in this case…I just don’t get it.  I’m not against it in any way, but I just don’t get why the girl does it.  I mean, the only thing that I can come up with is because the woman likes to please her man.  Bless you for that, by the way.  But is there any other pleasure that you get out of it?

Please, let me know you comments or email me directly if you don’t want to post them.

Thanks,

Hendo

A new day has begun

October 20, 2009 // Posted in Uncategorized  |  4 Comments

Okay, so it’s been a long time since I posted.  I know my dedicated followers have been waiting on my delicate pearls of wisdom.  Of course when I say “Dedicated Followers”, I really mean “she”.

Instead of posting on Politics or Gaming, or even my search for those willing to send me their personal boob shots for my desktop screen saver, I’m going to prose about how life has changed for me in the past month.  So sit back and get comfy.  This is going to be riveting (for those that like rivets)!

September 30th marked the end of my six and a half year long contract with the state.  Fortunately, I was granted plenty of warning about it for me to get with my company to find something new, as well as explore other opportunities.  After several months in discussions with my company, there didn’t seem to be anything that I could jump into.  So I was looking to be laid off.

I wasn’t too upset over this since Obama has crippled our economy and is doing everything wrong in the area of job creation (and foreign affairs, health care, carbon emissions, etc.), so I knew finding a job would be difficult at best.  That said, there are holes in my educational background that hinder my employ-ability,   so going back to school is obviously my best course of action.  So on September 25th, I enrolled into college.  Kind of scary, since I haven’t been to school in over 23 years.  But hey…contrary to popular belief, I do love to learn new things.

Now I’m a college student, and day one after the end of my contract, my company tells me that I’m too valuable to just be dropped.  They are going to keep me busy on some stuff until they can find me another project to run.  I just love managing projects!  So this is a good thing, right?  No loss of a pay check AND a full time college student.  HELL YEAH!!!  Wait a minute!  How much time is in a day?  SHIT!  Full time job AND full time school????  Look, I’ve been off Methamphetamine’s for a very long time, and I’m not going back, but life has now turned into a time intensive endeavor.  Reading isn’t my strongest suit, you know.

Since I’m not managing a project at this time, my company has me going back to computer and printer troubleshooting and repair.  No big deal, this is easy stuff.  The problem is…I’ve let all of my certifications lapse.  So in order to repair equipment, I have to get re-certified.  You know what this means????   That’s right!  MORE FUCKING READING!!!  So the first couple of weeks I’ve been reading from 8-5 for my re-certifications, and then from 5-9 and 11-2am, I’ve been reading for school!  Didn’t I mention that reading wasn’t my strongest suit???  Good Lord!  What the hell happened to my master plan of going to school at night and sleeping during the day?  I mean…don’t get me wrong, I love working and getting a paycheck, but that wasn’t supposed to be the plan.  Sheesh!

Okay, I’m bitching.  Don’t take that to mean that I’m unappreciative of the situation that I’m in, because in truth…I’m sitting pretty damn good.  It’s really nice to know that the company that you’ve worked for for over ten years, respects you enough to do everything they can to keep you employed.  Say what you will about Pomeroy IT Solutions, but my management staff is taking care of me, and I’ve never had that happen in the 30 years that I’ve been in the work force.  So obviously, anything that they throw my way, I’m going to do.

Back to school.  So for this quarter, I have Business Management, English Comp and College Math.  Math is easy.  Yes, I needed a refresher in how to work the equations, but I’ve never really had a problem with math.  Business Management is not something that I’m even remotely interested in.  However, my instructor is pretty fun to watch.  For that, I’m giving it an honest effort…even though I have philosophical differences with what is being taught.  Of course, I’m not keeping those differences to myself, either.  But I am bringing them up in a respectful manner, as to not cause grief.  I know…totally out of character for me.  *shrugs*

English Comp is just awful!  Nothing in this class is exciting or even useful to me.  This is my one and only online course, and I’m hating every moment of it.  Who writes essays????  This class should only be for budding journalists and novelists.  Thesis?  WTF?  I got a Thesis for you!  Everything we’ve been assigned to read and write on, has been hypocritical.  Keep your sentences brief yet detailed (Check!  As a technical writer, this is essential); don’t ramble (Check!  Falls inline with brief sentencing); use a minimum of 200 words to comment on subject [insert any boring as hell subject here].  200 WORDS!  I can do it in 75 using brief detailed sentence structures!  What?  I can’t ramble?  How the hell do I fill in the other 125 fucking words????  If brevity is the soul to wit, then why the hell do I have to have a minimum of 200 damn words?

I wrote my instructor asking that very question.  I also explained that I find the class useless, and that I’m only doing it because it’s required.  She told me to hang in there, I’m doing a great job.  No comment on my questions of the 200 word thing, just “hang in there”.  Now, she seems like a very nice lady, and I really don’t want to cause her any grief, but Susan….I’M GOING TO RAMBLE TO SATISFY YOUR 200 WORD REQUIREMENTS ON THE BORING AS HELL TOPICS THAT YOU HAVE US WRITING ON!

*sigh*  Okay, where was I.  So for the most part, I’m reading and getting paid for it.  Then I go to school and read…and I pay for it.  So going back to my math, shouldn’t I be able to cancel something out here in order to simplify?

I want to thank those of you that have encouraged and supported my going back to school.  Please don’t take my bitching as a sign that I’m not glad that I’m doing this.  It’s just me bitching to take a break from all the damn reading.

A special thanks to my wife who not only supports me, but does everything she can to take care of me.  Everyone knows I don’t deserve her, and I couldn’t agree more.  But I’m happy as hell that she loves me.

Okay…back to the books (and twitter to look at boobs in between paragraphs).

Racism? Healthcare? ACORN? Huh?

September 17, 2009 // Posted in Politics  |  2 Comments

Wow, lots of great news stuff these past two weeks.  I’ve kind of been out of circulation lately due to severe pain and the contemplation of what I’m to due at the end of the month when I’m probably getting laid off.  Even now, I’m not in the mood to parse out witty or even honest criticism on the latest events.  Perhaps is my allergies acting up, or just my overall laziness, but something is really promoting my “I just don’t give a shit right now” attitude.  I don’t even feel like typing.  So it’s in that vein that I’ll just put out a couple of quick blurbs on some of the current topics and then just wander off to finish the day in obscurity.

RACISM: I find it incredulous that Liberal’s are labeling any disagreements with Obama policies as acts of racism.  This is obviously a tactic to divert attention from opposing views to the Democrat party…or more aptly…any Obama position.  Liberals are literally claiming racism at every turn, and there is only one reason for it:  Liberals cannot legitimately defend the big government power grab legislation in an honest debate.  Especially when over 50% of Americans are against them (52% according to the latest Rassmussen (whatever) Poll.  Sen. Wilson called Obama a liar at the Presidential address to Congress.  Even though he was right factually, it was not the proper forum for that type of outburst.  Even still, Democrats claim that it was racially motivated.  Clearly, there was no racial slant in that statement, but Democrats can’t honestly deny that illegal immigrants will not have access to taxpayer money for medical care so the only way to divert attention to the truth is to claim racism.  I’m so sick and tired of the racism card, that anyone that I hear using it, I’m calling to the carpet to defend it.  And when they can’t, I’m going to very publicly humiliate them.  And I guarantee you they won’t be able to defend their claim.  Fucking dicks.

HEALTH CARE: Even though I’m tired of this entire topic, I will continue to debate it until it’s gone away or some worth-while legislation is actually available.  The Obama/Palosi/Reid Health Care plan is so idiotic that a completely Democrat controlled administration can’t even pass it!!!  Not only do the majority of Americans disagree with it, but the swindlers in charge (i.e. Obama/Palosi/Reid) can’t even muster their own people to get enough votes to ram this through.  Their Bill is THAT BAD!!!  Then they turn around and say that the Republican side of the isle isn’t offering any options!  The truth is…Republicans ARE offering options, but the Democrats won’t even let those options be heard.  People….this is the most dis-functional government that I’ve ever heard of!!!  We don’t need a health care bill.  We need Insurance regulation; TORT reform; and a serious investigation at the fraud, waste and abuse in the current systems!  Take care of that, and we will be well on our way to better, more affordable health care.

ACORN: What a bunch of freaking IDIOTS!!!  Congress did right by passing a bill to cancel the funding to ACORN.  A full out investigation is mandatory here, and the leaders of that organization, and those caught on video need to be heavily fined and put in jail.  This is as disgraceful as you can get, and I’d really like to see Dude Obama try to defend this shit.  The only problem I see here, is that once the fire burns and ACORN is almost extinct…I see them filing for a government bailout, and sadly…they’d probably get it if this administration is still in office.  Fucking dicks!

Huh? If this kind of news and events doesn’t piss you off and make you laugh at the same time…then you need to get laid.  This stuff is so frustrating AND funny at the same time!!!  By the way….How’s those ratings ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN & MSNBC?  LOL…you fucking dicks!

Oh…Looks like it will be Boobs & Beer Friday tomorrow, and I’m well enough to celebrate it!  HUZZAH!

U.S. Social Security – For the Congress?

August 21, 2009 // Posted in Politics  |  No Comments

Okay, so I get this email about Social Security.  I don’t know how valid the whole thing is, but I do know that specific points in it, are true.  Eh…here it is:

LET US SHOW OUR LEADERS IN WASHINGTON “PEOPLE POWER” AND THE POWER OF THE INTERNET. PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS.

IT  DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU ARE REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT!

KEEP IT GOING!!!!

Propose this in 2009:

START A BILL TO PLACE ALL POLITICIANS ON SOCIAL SECURITY

SOCIAL SECURITY:

(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.)

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.

Our Senators and Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.

You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves. So, many years ago they voted in their benefit plan.

In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan.

For all practical purposes their plan works like this:

When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay  until they die.  Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments…

For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7, 800,000.00 (that’s Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275, 000.00 during the last years of their lives.  This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two Dignitaries.

Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the rest of their lives.

Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00. NADA!!! ZILCH!!!

This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds;

“OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK”!

From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into, every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our  employer), We can expect to get an average of
$1,000 per month after retirement.

Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator Bill Bradley’s benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.

That change would be to:   Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen.. Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us

Then sit back…..And see how fast they would fix it!

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe good changes will evolve.

Personally…I’ve felt this way for a long time.  I don’t mind giving our elected representatives some perks, because the job really isn’t an easy one.  But when they keep fucking over the great citizens of this country for their own nefarious gains, then I say we need to knock their pompous asses off of the podium of American generosity (a.k.a. the American Working Class)  and make them work for their supper.

If you think about it for a minute, how many jobs have you ever had where you can give yourself a raise?  In the 80′s, Congress passed a 10% raise in salaries.  It wasn’t a 10% raise across the board, it was an 8% raise for the congress, and a 2% raise to the military members.  Since I was in the military back then, this really pissed me off.

Congress has the power to grab our tax money for anything that they see fit, and We The People…don’t really have a say in it.  So I believe it is time for us to stand up to our congressmen and hold their feet to the fire.

Funny thing is…you may find a candidate that would agree with this, but once they get into office, they would never go along with it.  So, how can we affect change in this area?  The first step is to go public with this, and keep it in the news.  Then we pound our congressmen to get a bill to change it.  This is all entirely possible, but ONLY if there is a candidate out there that believes in the American People, first and foremost.

What say you???

Obamacare – Responsible Government?

It’s not me just saying it!

Why loan the government money?

Why loan the government money?

Obamacare Dying (?)

August 17, 2009 // Posted in Politics  |  4 Comments

Okay, so there are some saying that since the public option is going to be taken off the table, the dreaded Obamacare is going to fall away.  In my opinion, when the Democrats take something off the table to appease the masses, they are planning to put it back in later on down the road.  Whether under a different name, or sneaking it in some other bill…that is their usual M.O.  Call me paranoid, but in my opinion, the track record for the Democrats speaks for itself.

Then, the entire issue language has changed!  It went from Obama..er…Health Care Reform, to Health Insurance Reform.  Now make no mistake…Health Insurance reform is needed, but Health Care Reform is what the Democrats want.  They want government control over health care.  This allows them to steal more of our money, and control all of our medical needs.  This is not what the government is for!  This is not what the founding fathers envisioned!  This is not the American way of life!

TORT reform!  This is an important first step!

Find and eliminate all the fraud, waste and abuse within the system!

Deny illegal aliens free treatement!  Of course if there is a catastrophic issue, we would help, but I wouldn’t go much farther than that.

Put more strict regulation on insurance companies that ensure the health and safety of the patient and the doctors.

And of course…LOWER THE FREAKING TAXES!!!!

All the above can improve the cost of health services and increase the quality of care that is given, without having our government run the system.

*sigh*

But I digress…

The removal of the public option does not mean that we can let down our guard and stop out tea parties and attendances at town hall meetings.  We need to continue to let out congressmen know that government run health care under any name is bad for Americans and the Country as a whole.

Keep up the good fight!  And remember…..”Courage”

We The People…

I think this video says it all, so I don’t really need to go on a rant here.  Play it again, to make sure that it sinks in.

Hypocrite = Obama

July 29, 2009 // Posted in Politics  |  No Comments

Back in 2004, Obama did a radio interview condemning the rush to enact that Patriot Act.  Here is an except from that show…

OBAMA:  When you rush these budgets that are a foot high and nobody has any idea what’s in them and nobody’s read ‘em.

RADIO HOST:  Fourteen pounds, it was!

OBAMA:  Yeah.  Uh, and it gets rushed through without any clear deliberation or debate, uh, then these kinds of things happen, and I think that this is — is in some ways what happened to the Patriot Act.  I mean, you remember there was no real debate about that, it was so qui — uh, quick after 9/11 that it was introduced –

RADIO HOST: Mmmph.

OBAMA:  — that people felt very intimidated by the administration.

Hmmm…this actually sounds compelling!

Then, Obama runs for President promising transparency; the end of earmark legislation; cutting the budget and the deficit; publishing proposed legislation so that the people can read it before it’s voted on; ensuring that both parties have a say in legislation; lowering the unemployment rate.  Could this be the Administration that we’ve been looking for?

Wait a minute…

Stimulus Package:  Let’s see…the country really needs this passed, just vote for it.  The country can’t wait any longer!

Omnibus Bill:  Just pass it.  We’ll worry about the details later!  This must be passed right away!

Cap & Trade:  Gotta do our part to prevent global warming.  We’re in a crisis!

National Health Care:  We need to get this thing passed right away!  Forget that it costs an arm and a leg, and the lives of our elderly.

So five years ago (as a Freshman State Senator), our current President was bitching that the Patriot Act got rushed through legislation, and then he turns around as President and forces the Stimulus package down our throats.  He doesn’t give the Republicans a chance to add input on it.  In fact, if it doesn’t get passed, unemployment can get up to 8%.

Huh…well, they did rush it through, and now unemployment is up to 9.5% and is scheduled to get past 10% by the end of the year.  Good thing we rushed that piece of shit through.  Obama…That’s called a lie and a failure.

The Omnibus Bill needed to go through.  No one gets to actually read the bill, but it has to be voted on.  Some 8000 plus earmark expenses, but hey…we need this like NOW!

What happened to the promise to no earmark legislation?  What happened to ensuring that there is time for not only both parties, but the posting of the bill, so that the people can read it?  Obama…That’s another lie and failure.

The Cap & Trade bill has to pass right away!  Global warming is so detrimental to American existence, much less all of humanity, that we need to pass this right now so that American business will pay for spewing the global killing pollutants that we have today!  We don’t have time to waste!

But wait a minute.  Global warming is based on incomplete modeling that has yet to produce an accurate result on increased global temperatures based on greenhouse emmissions.  The fact that global temperatures have been in a declining state for over 3 years now, means nothing.  But we need to rush this Cap and Tax bill so that our businesses get screwed?  I’m all for cleaning up pollution, but why are we screwing American business when China and India produce far greater amounts of greenhouse gasses than we do?  AND…they are not even entertaining the idea of lessening the amount of pollutants that they put out.  But if America doesn’t pass this bill right now, we….er…we’ll…   We’ll WHAT?  Earth is not dying.  Global warming is a complete farce!  Scientist that were proponents of global warming are now coming out of the woodwork and saying that it’s not happening.  Some even go as far as saying that they went along with the global warming hysteria due to political pressure.  Obama…This is yet another lie and failure!

Nationalizing Health Care is another mess that is built around a bunch of lies and half truthes.  A couple of years ago, the uninsured in this country was estimated at around 45 million people.  Now it’s reported that 50 million Americans are uninsured.  However, even that number is misleading.  Over 11 million of the 50 are illegal aliens.  Illegal aliens are people that have broken our laws and entered this country illegally.  Are we responsible for providing them health care?  NO!

It is also estimated that 15-20 million of that 50 do not have health insurance because of they don’t need it.  They are financially situated to be able to pay for whatever health care they may need.  So why do the working class have to pay for health care, for those that don’t need it and can pay for it if they wanted to?  We shouldn’t!

Combining these two elements, and we’ve eliminated half the amount of people that don’t have health care.  So now, are we in a health care crisis?  I say no.  Is our health care in need of reform?  Sure!  But not on the medical side.  We need to regulate the insurance agencies.  We need to cut down on frivolous law suits.  If we can fix this…we don’t need the government to run health insurance, and the American people are far better off when the government isn’t running things.

Obama, you have failed in your duties.

  • You have promised to reduce our debt and deficit, yet in less than half a year, you have QUADRUPLED it.  EPIC FAILURE!!
  • You have promised transperancy in your administration, yet you don’t allow time for the legislators to read the proposed bills, and you have not posted the bills for the people to read.  FAILURE!
  • You have promised the end of Earmark legislation, yet allowed over 8000 earmarks alone in the Omnibus Bill.  EPIC FAILURE!
  • You ran for President in  support of gay marriage, and once in office, you changed to being against gay marriage.  Another LIE!
  • You critized the previous administration for rushing legislation that actually helped Americans in the time of war, yet turn around and rush legislation that crippled the economic futures of the greatest country in the history of mankind.  EPIC FUCKING FAILURE!!!!!!!!

Obama…you are a hypocrite!  A liar!  A fiscal idiot! You are a Socialist!  So I have a question for you…

How do you maintain a following?  Did you promise that you would give out blow jobs to those that will praise and support you?

B.O. NEEDS TO GO!

Renaissance & Friends

July 19, 2009 // Posted in Uncategorized  |  3 Comments

Okay, let me apologize, because I’m drunk.  When I’m drunk, I tend to ramble.  So if you don’t have the time to spend just move along, as this may end up being a rambling session.

First, I should start off by saying that I’m really not the best friend that someone could ask for.  I’m self centered…and just down right lazy.  I could be called a hermit, with the exception of my love for Renaissance Festivals or playing poker.  If it wasn’t for those things, I’d probably never leave my house. Fortunately, my loving wife loves both of those things, and in fact, is the prime mover of my out of house experiences.  She’s the best.

Now, that may sound meaningless, but I do believe that ones friends are really what drives the individual.  Either to drink; act out stupidly; or to do things for others.  Friends could be at the root of peer pressure, or they could be the crutch that holds you upright as you are trying to move forward.  For me, friends are extremely important since I am an only child, and as such, sibling bonds and rivalries are experiences that have escaped me.  So it is the friendships that I make that I view as the value of life.

Everyone views friendship in their own way.  For me, if I’ve shaken your hand and have called you by your first name, then I truly regard you as a friend.  Since after years of drug abuse, my memory isn’t what it used to be, so once I meet someone, I repeat their name in effort to remember it (that doesn’t work all the time though) and I shake that persons hand.  So if my definition of a friend is that I’ve called you by your first name and that I’ve shaken your hand…you can imagine that I view myself as having a lot of friends.  Bear in mind that I can distinguish people from friends and those that I meet for work purposes.

This particular post has to do with Renaissance Festivals.  As a former cast member at our states official Renaissance Festival, I’ve made a lot of friends.  And to be in a Renaissance Festival, you need to be outgoing and full of charisma.  Sure, I did drama in High School, but outgoing and charismatic, I’m not.  But somehow, these people have accepted me for me, and have humored me over the last four years.  These are really great people.  I love them all in my own way…even those that I just met over this past season.  Even though I’m not part of the cast anymore, they still accept me as one of them when I’m there.  That in and of itself, is a high honor and I really cherish that.

As this is/was the last weekend of this seasons Festival, at closing the cast has it’s normal get together to talk about their day.  It’s really a bonding moment and an energizing moment.  Okay, not all of the time, but that’s it purpose.  Well this year, the cast had a new director (which I think really did a great job), and at the cast meeting at the end of today, she handed out small tokens of her affection to the cast.  BRILLIANT!!!  I think it was a stroke of genius!  But what I found so very exciting, was that I was a recipient of one of those gifts.  This completely took me off guard.  You see, since I’m not on cast anymore, the ownership and workers of the festival still allow me to hang out when the place closes.  I don’t mind saying, that it’s not everyone that gets that kind of treatment, so I do feel honored that I am allowed that courtesy.  And those that know anything about Renaissance Festivals, knows that even though the festival itself is fun, the after hours get together is really the icing on the cake.  Okay, maybe it’s just me.

Anyways, back to the gift.  It was a simple coffee cup that had the name of our village on it, as well as the name of the character that we play/played.  No fancy artwork, just the writing on the coffee cup.  Remember when I said that I was a self centered person…well when I was presented with the cup, I swelled with emotion.  I mean…I’m not on cast any more.  Sure, I may have participated in a couple of skits while I was in attendance this season, but I never considered myself as cast.  I mean, these guys put their entire spring and summer on line to put on the show, and I’m …  well, I’m just a glorified patron now.  But someone, somewhere, thought enough of me to include me as a recipient of one of these gifts.  THAT’S FREAKIN HUGE!!!!  At least in my book.

Look, I’m not that guy.  I’ve never been the one that people think about when this kind of thing goes on.  I’m just not that guy.  Sure, you’ll hear that Hendo is a good guy, or Hendo is a pervert, or get Hendo, he’ll take care of you.  But it’s never been, Hey, we should include getting something for Hendo…because I’m just not that guy.  I love these people!  Singing with them; laughing with them; drinking with them; stumbling to the campground with them; eating with them; sharing stories with them.  I love it all!  These are really great people, and the fact that I get to share their lives with them a few weekends a year makes them family in my eyes.

So I have this coffee cup.  It’s GREAT!  Whether it was the cast director or the ownership of the festival…or both…I will forever cherish this little coffee cup.  Not for what it is, but for what it meant to me when I recieved it.  Because someone thought enough of me to want to include me.  That, in and of itself, is worth…life.  My friends thought of me.  Can one ever ask any more than that?

I would like to thank the ownership; the cast; the entertainers and the vendors for making the Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival a very fascinating and magical place to be.  I consider all of you dear, dear friends and family.

I’m going to go pass out now.  And in the morning…a nice hot cup of hazelnut coffee.

I love you guys!

Felting Hendo: Season 4 – Game 1

July 11, 2009 // Posted in Poker  |  1 Comment

What an Excellent Night!

It was great to see everyone together again.  All but two players were able to make it, so we had 16 total.  I stalled the start of the game for a few minutes to try and let everyone have enough time to get some food in and some socializing before we got down to the game.  This proved to be especially helpful since Carrie and Ted brought their 9 month old nephew to the game.  Most everyone wanted to see and make funny little goo-goo sounds to him.  LOL

Back to the food!  Sherry made a really great queso dip, full of beef and not too much heat (spice-wise), and she had some fresh fruit out as well.  Gotta love fresh watermelon and pineapple on a warm summer evening!  She also had a caramel/apple/peanut butter thingy that was freakin AWESOME!  I had some of the queso dip and chips before everyone got there to make sure that I ate something.  I knew I’d be drinking and if I would have waited for later, I probably would missed out.  I also took a small piece of the Apple-Caramel thingy…you know…to make sure that it was safe for everyone.  ;)   All I can say is…it’s a good thing that I did sneak some food because later on in the evening, when I wanted to get something to eat…it was all gone.  Well there was 3 little pieces left of the Apple-Caramel thingy, so I scarfed those  down really quick.  LOL.

As for the poker game, it’s no big surprise, Sherry did outlast me once again.  I don’t know.  I started out pretty good.  Took a couple of decent pots early on, but again, I can’t seem to make the tough lay downs.  I think it’s time for me to get back to the basics again.  I haven’t won a game since March.  It’s kind of pissing me off.  So, back to the basics I go.  Maybe I should actually start paying attention to the people playing instead of trying to be social.  The problem is, in this series I’m good friends with everyone, so being social here is not due to me being the host, but it’s because I just love all them.  And if I stop being social, they may think that I’m mad at them, or not wanting to be there, and that’s just not the case.  Oh well…I guess I’ll just have to find a way to pay attention to everyone’s play AND be social.  I’m certain it can be done, but can I do it???  This project is on!

I had a great time, and I hope all my guest did as well.  Two weeks till game 2…I need to practice.
